11 Reasons to List Your Bucks County Home During the Holidays
- People who look for a home during the Holidays are more serious buyers. Think about it: Would you spend your holidays searching for a new property in Bucks County -- or anywhere else, for that matter -- if it wasn't absolutely necessary? Buyers who shop over the holidays are looking to do serious business.
- Serious buyers have fewer houses to choose from during the Holidays and less competition means more money for you. Like other real estate markets, the Bucks County property market slows to a crawl after Thanksgiving; people are just too busy with the holidays to thin about selling a new home. That means anyone who puts a property on the market during that time is dealing with a greatly reduced playing field, leading in turn to a stronger bargaining position for sellers.
- Since the supply of listings will dramatically increase in January, there will be less demand for your particular home! Less demand means less money for you! Wait until after the holidays to sell, and you'll be dealing with a flooded marketplace. Getting out there even a few weeks early can make a big difference.
- Houses show better when decorated for the Holidays! Nothing says "home" like houses decorated for Christmas -- particularly cozy and inviting Bucks County homes. That means increased curb appeal
- Buyers are more emotional during the Holidays, so they are more likely to pay your price! Nobody wants to make their dreams come true as much as they do at Christmastime. And new home buyers are always looking to make a fresh start in the new year.
- Buyers have more time to look for a home during the Holidays than they do during a working week! Homes in Bucks County may actually see a surge in visits during the holidays, since many professionals have more time to devote to the buying process.
- Some people must buy before the end of the year for tax reasons! Because the end of the year marks the end of the fiscal year, many buyers are in a rush to complete a purchase before January 31. Many times, this means they'll be willing to pay a higher price simply to expedite the process.
- January is traditionally the month for employees to begin new jobs. Since transferees cannot wait until Spring to buy, you must be on the market now to capture that market!
- You can still be on the market, but you have the option to restrict showings during the six or seven days during the Holidays! This makes the process of selling Bucks County homes easier on the seller.
- You can sell now for more money and we will provide for a delayed closing or extended occupancy until early next year! Selling your property (or properties) in Bucks County doesn't have to mean disrupting your holidays. You can sell before Christmas and move out after New Year's Day.
- By selling now, you may have an opportunity to be a non-contingent buyer during the Spring, when many more houses are on the market for less money! This will allow you to sell high and buy low!
